
The Orange County Superior Court ordered a reduction of 50 percent of the population in the Orange County jails in response to a lawsuit filed by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). An Orange County jail released half of its inmates in the wake of the worsening coronavirus pandemic, but one of those released was unknowingly infected with the virus and spread it to his family — including to his mother who has died. Now the family is blaming the jail.
