Bill Cosby granted appeal of sex assault conviction

Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court ruled today that Bill Cosby can appeal two key issues in his 2018 conviction on sexual assault charges. Cosby,  is serving a  3-to-10-year sentence for drugging and sexually assaulting a former Temple University employee at his home in 2004.

Cosby has maintained his innocence and repeatedly denied the allegations made against him.

Following the allegations and conviction, numerous organizations severed ties with Cosby, and revoked honors and titles previously awarded to him. Media organizations pulled reruns of The Cosby Show and other television programs featuring Cosby from syndication. Twenty-five colleges and universities rescinded honorary degrees.

No word on when the appeal will be heard.
