Racist ‘White Lives Matter’ Banner Discovered in Union City, Removed Immediately 1/17/21

A racist “white lives matter” banner was discovered along a busy intersection in Union City Saturday and promptly taken down. Now, the mayor is speaking out, saying the city will not tolerate these acts of vandalism, especially in the wake of the events in Washington, D.C.

“This is despicable and we removed it immediately”, Mayor Carol Dutra-Vernaci said. “This made me upset and I hope it’s an isolated incident as it does not reflect the community of my city, the city of Union City,”
